Its been crashing after latest two updates. Shows me a couple title screens, then crashes. Please fix

Greed has ruined Tetris. For a long time they kept their hands off of it but they had to change a few things because they want you to pay much more money for the game. 1. They added coins that you must buy to continue/ cheat the game when you are involuntarily not doing well. So when you are not doing well in the game you can spend these purchased coins in 100 coin increments to reset the rows to a lower level. 2. The game is harder in that it ignores some of your finger taps on the screen. This way they can sell more coins to you because you are doing poorly because the game is now rigged. At several times during each game you lose control of the pieces and they will not turn. 3. After decades of this games popularity, it is too frustrating to play!

The December 16 update helps but it still really bad. The UI is cant keep up. Touches get lost randomly and the pieces dont move the way you have commanded them too.

This has been my go to game for awhile but this update has completely ruined it. You changed the functions and made it extremely obnoxious to play. Why did you mess with something that wasnt broken?

Dont know if its the new version or haptic. Unable to turn objects with touches at times. Figures get stuck doing descent without being able to manipulate rotation. Give me back the old version!

I was hopeful that the most recent upgrade would fix their previous blunder, but I was sadly mistaken. Stay away!

The December update has taken all the fun out of Tetris. The playing field has been shortened vertically for no obvious reason. This leaves little room for the preview piece if youre playing one touch marathon style. Pieces seem to fit much less often than before, dampening your scores. The game used to feel pretty smooth. No longer.

Everything is way way worse. Overall Gameplay/maneuverability/pause button. What did you do and why did you do it? Guess Im all done playing. Later

I love Tetris, but this app has had some trouble. The most recent being that the music wont play despite my speakers on and the music on in the apps settings. I was really happy when I could finally run the app on my iPhone recently after months of it not even being able to be opened (yes... I kept redownloading and having it take up valuable storage space in the off chance it might start working again.) its finally working but theres no sound! I want my 8-bit playing please!

I really enjoyed the "one touch" play mode and now its gone. I have arthritis which makes it hard for me to move the pieces now. This games used to be 5 stars and now its just a 1. I dont understand why they would remove such a great game play mode.

Its hard not to think that the appearance of coins and the way the game ignores inputs randomly are related. There have been poor updates previously, but this one may spell the end for me. If theres not a quick fix, I will delete and not look back. Do not purchase right now. It is BROKEN!

This WAS a great game. Ive been playing it since it came out in the 1980s. I noticed last month that they hadnt updated the copyright; oops then they did and thats not all. So now for a paid version they wanted you to watch an advertisement to continue the game after you failed. I.e., cheat. Really? And they changed the code so you cant control the pieces anymore. The second update this month got rid of the ads and now has coins. So again for the paid version which no longer lets me control pieces and therefore ends the game earlier, I have to pay to continue the game. Really? Major disappointment here to say the least. I cant believe that EA has destroyed this game just to make make a buck, especially in such a manipulative way.

If I had known EA was updating my Tetris to crap I would have never updated it. EA want to make a buck ? Sell me my OLD Tetris back.... Will 2016 be the year Tetris dies. If EA has its way it will.

I just deleted the Tetris app. The last update ruined a game I have played since the 1990s. EA, have you no shame?

I purchased this app and paid twice for it. The first time I paid $9.99 and then I had to pay again to upgrade. Now they have changed the game to force users to purchase coins - but the sad part is that the tetris game itself is broken. I cannot even reach the levels I used to reach, so it is rigged to make me lose and purchase coins. I will not be upgrading this game and will not be purchasing any coins. I hope that EA goes out of business for cheating paying customers.

Well theyve screwed this game up yet again. Theyve nearly ruined this game again! Seriously the latest version is crap. The first version was great, they messed it up so badly it became unplayable. Then instead of fixing it, theEA folks fixed it and then made me buy it again. Now the latest update, while still playable, is heading down the same path. I love this game. Why do they constantly try to ruin it?

I loved this app until the recent update. I would use it almost every day. I cant stand the changes, and Im not sure why you made them. Id like to get back the app that I paid for.

Ive never left a one star review before and I honestly did enjoy this game before the last update. People are not exaggerating - the controls do not always work and it is beyond frustrating to lose because a piece didnt spin or move. It does seem a little fishy that the controls stopped working well when they started selling coins. Just sayin.

This used to be fun to play. But now its not. Every time I hit the screen it have to tap twice to move the block. Ruins so much. This is the first review Ive ever written about any app. I use a iPhone 6s Plus.

Thanks to all the reviews, I know its the app and not my phone. New version is too aggravating to play. There is nothing challenging or fun about disabling the touch screen during play. What were they thinking?
