The latest update ruined this game. I just deleted the app from my phone.

Absolute worst up-grade in history. Ruined the game. Paid several dollars for this app and really enjoyed it for years. What a waste. At first I thought it was the new iOS but then I read all the other reviews and I realized it was the Tetris team. At least I have more free time.

It was my favorite game till this update. What did you guys do to it? I’ll be deleting it.

I am so sad. This has been my go-to gaming app for years and now it is unplayable. Now the one-touch mode is totally gone, which was my favorite way to play... and the updated marathon mode glitches and doesnt play smoothly. Ugh... what am I going to do now??

This was a great app. Recently it requires viewing ads to keep playing.

I have been a huge fan of Tetris for a long time but the new update is complete garbage, the only reason being that you cannot change the speeds. My 4 year old nephew stopped playing the slow-as-molasses speed 6 years ago, so you can imagine what veteran Tetris players feel like, taking naps in between blocks. I dont know if youre trying to get people to download Tetris Blitz, which is also complete garbage, but at least allow us to crank up the speed on classic version. Thats all Im asking.

Where did the memory of the last level played go? I have to scroll through all levels to get to 16, every time. Liked the old pause button, too. You can monetize it a little with ads to pay the developers to mess it up, I guess. I think that ad revenue was the real motivation, and screwing up the other stuff was just to prove they did some work.

...now I a just annoying. Controls dont work since the update. Tap function only works is half of the time. Hope they fix it soon.

SO GLITCHY IT IS UNUSABLE. Are you kidding me??? I paid money for this version and now it is completely useless. If youre going to update an app with more functions and more bells and whistles dont take away basic functionality.

Well it seems our complaints were heard (or I wasnt smart enough to figure it out). One-touch is back as one set of controls under Marathon! Good job EA!! @@@@ old review @@@@ Really disappointed that the one touch game disappeared from Tetris. Im not sure Ill continue playing...

... but this latest "update" has me on the verge of deleting the app from my phone entirely. Not all progress is needed or asked for.

Really really buggy. I paid for this app, and it is full of issues - touch controls are sometimes entirely unresponsive.

1. There is an issue with the tap to turn when playing marathon mode (only one I play). It is hard enough to play beyond certain levels because the piece basically appears at the bottom. Now I cant turn the pieces either. 2. Maybe its a setting I havent found but it doesnt remember my last starting level when I play a new game. 3. I can bear an ad when I lose, but not if dont fix #1. If that doesnt get fix, I am deleting the app. Thanks

Ruined a good game. Added new glitches and pop ups that I paid to get rid of. Dont waste your $

I have been playing the Marathon version of this game for a few years, ever since I finally got an IPhone. The latest version is terrible!! As soon at the pieces start to speed up the screen stops responding properly causing the user to place the pieces in the wrong places. They have also added a "use 100 coins to continue" feature. Im thinking this is a way to spend money if you dont have enough coins to continue. Maybe the problem with the screen sensitivity is a gimmick to make people spend more money.

New update ruined the game. No longer want to play, added advertisements to a paid app??? BS.

Dont buy this app!!!!! It worked okay before the recent update but now the tile controls dont respond at the higher skill levels. You try to flip the tiles but they just keep falling in the same position.

The latest version is a horrendous step backwards. It takes more effort and steps just to get into the game. More egregious is how buggy and choppy it is. The UI lags which makes a game like this pointless. If the Tetris pieces dont accurately rotate when you tap or land where you move your finger... then the basic reason for this game to exist ceases. Previous versions worked far better!

I nearly freaked out when I opened my updated Tetris for the first time. I thought my only option was Marathon and that One Touch was gone foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrr. But I found th theres a One Touch option in Marathon

What the heck happened with this new update? I just had to delete the whole thing. I love Tetris but they ruined it so its gone now. For example, I couldnt turn off the "Ghost" feature. And yes, I did turn it off... It just didnt stop! And why would it show all the places you could put the pieces? Wow. Goodbye, Tetris. I mean its Tetris, for Petes sake! Why does it really need to be updated? The allure of this game is that at its heart its actually a fundamentally simple concept. If people who played Tetris want all these bells and whistles and all kinds of cute stuff then they wouldnt be playing Tetris in the first place. There are other games that do that better. Clearly thats not what Tetris people are looking for.
